Omicron support deadline fast approaching
Businesses in the hospitality sector in England had extra support made available in the wake of the Omicron variant in December 2021. However, time is fast running out to claim it. Who can claim and what should eligible businesses do?
Businesses that have been adversely affected by the Omicron variant can apply for a grant. The precise amount depends on the business’s rateable value, and can be up to £6,000. However, the claim must be made to the relevant local authority (LA) by 28 February - just eleven days away. Any business that has not yet made a claim should do so directly via their LA’s website. It's advisable to do this as soon as possible, as reports suggest that there have been significant delays receiving payments.
Information regarding eligibility is available here.
